ANZAC Day services are attracting more and more young people curious
to learn about their military heritage. At this year's ANZAC Day
service at Ieper (Ypres) in Belgium, New Zealand AFS student Nikki
Gunn spoke of her own journey of discovery of the meaning
of ANZAC Day.
At a ceremony held in the National Headquarters on 28 April 2006,
Nancy Wake, code-named the ‘White Mouse’ by the Gestapo
during World War II, was awarded the RNZRSA's highest honour –
its Badge in Gold and Life Membership.
